Since 2005, I have been working:

Tevet (turbidites - offshore Mauritania) for Woodside Mauritania - (Development Geologist & 3D Modeller);

Cliff-Head (off-shore WA) for Roc Oil (Reservoir/Development Geologist);

Long-Tom & Crux for Nexus Energy - Reservoir Geologist & 3D Modeller;

Heron for MEO Australia - Reservoir Geologist & 3D Modeller;

CCS Study for the Victorian DPI - Regional Geologist & 3D Modeller;

Puffin for AED Oil - Reservoir Geologist; and,

Basker-Manta-Gummy (off-shore Vic) – for Anzon Australia (Reservoir Geologist/Post-Development Geologist & 3D Modeller).

 

Petrel Guest Tester in Norway(Oslo and Stavanger) for Schlumberger(Petrel).

 

During my 24 years with Esso Australia I worked in the following roles:

 

Production Geologist/3-D Geological Modelling Corporate expert supporting fellow modellers in Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia. This support was from both the geological & engineering (Upscaling) side for reservoir simulation  - 13 years:

 

Exploration Geoscientist & Flowline Mapping Expert – RACE (Regional Assessment of Cooper-Eromanga Basins – one year: and,

 

Seismic Interpreter for 10 years on Carnarvon Basin & NW Shelf plus other WA areas - both on and off-shore.

 

Working in reservoir/production geology (predominantly Gippsland, plus Esso interests in WA, Indonesia & Malaysia) I have a strong background in engineering and was also the local upscaling expert for Esso Australia.

From my 3D geological modelling experience I have had extensive exposure to the use of sequence stratigraphy, neural nets, lithofacies, geostatistics and Object Based Modelling.

 

Qualified as a geophysicist (1972) and worked:

 

73-75 - Processing geophysicist with Petty-Ray Geophysical

76-77 - Post Grad studies – M.Sc (1977)

78-81 - Processing geophysicist/Trainer with Petty-Ray Geophysical

81-2005 -  with Esso Australia.
